while at the store picking up more yarn for the baby blanket i saw this yarn. it had such a cheerful color combination i decided to pick some up. i made a dishcloth out of it since its a 100% cotton and just did a basic garter stitch with it. i might give it as a gift or keep it for myself :-p i haven't decided yet. i've been on a roll with finishing things though :)

baby blanket is all done!!!
well i added a border around the blanket to make it larger. i didn't know what to do, so i just made a couple of strips with different patterns and called it good :) the middle is all garter stitch, the top and bottom have ribbing, the sides are stockinette and the corners are either garter or the ribbed pattern. its really soft and gender neutral so hopefully it'll be well enjoyed (and used!)

my first hat
yay for my first hat!!! i made it to match my first scarf that i made for my sister :) it didn't turn out quite the way i thought it would. apparently the yarn i used doesn't hold the shape all that well and it fits a little funny on me...so i don't mind if she never wears it (which apparently she's not a big hat person to begin with).
so yeah...yay for sisters to make first things for :-p lucky her, she gets a hat, scarf and baby blanket for the kiddo on the way! woot. i do love the yarn though...i'm still gonna make myself that afghan out of it eventually ;)

baby blanket
this a baby blanket i made on the bus on my way to chicago ~ it's a little small so i'm going to add little squares all around it to make it larger, or perhaps some other sort of border :) the yarn is super soft, i love it!!!
