While making Christmas gifts I decided I had mastered basic hats and wanted something more challenging :) I really like how this turned out (and think I need to make myself one).

Glittens (glove + mitten) were requested for Christmas. Having never made them I had to learn a whole lot of stuff (like how to use dpns and knit in the round). It's terribly complicated and a lot more detail oriented then I'm used to, and the thumb turned out crazy huge (I'm thinking I used the wrong needle size). But hopefully the right hand turns out better and I get all the kinks worked out for the gift pair ;)

I made my first handmade knitted Christmas gift :) The mittens turned out pretty large and the hat pointier than I would've liked, but she liked them and that's all that matters ;)

I finally knit my first piece of clothing :) It's a little shorter than I thought it would be, but other than that I think it turned out pretty well. There are also some parts where I decreased that didn't turn out as smooth as I would've liked. But the yarn is pretty, and overall I'm happy with my first piece. Next I think I'll try a full sweater (but first so many baby shower and Christmas gifts to finish).

After about...six? years I finally finished this scarf for my friend. That'll teach them to ask for scarves ;) I love it and wish I had one of my own. It's knit super tight so it'll be toasty warm in the winter and it's scarlet and gray, what more could you ask for?

While visiting family in Baltimore, I knit this simple hat :) I cast on during the flight there and finished it on my flight back. Now I just have to finish the matching scarf I'm working on (which always seem to take years longer than the hats!)

*Update: My friend, having seen the hat lying on the desk and inquiring who it was for, has laid claim to said hat. Not sure if I'll actually get around to the scarf, as other friends have begun to inquire where their hats are. (At least I know what to get them for Christmas!)

Ok, so I'm behind on posting this. Even further behind on finishing it. But it's done :) I sent off this tote along with matching sunglass case and mini purse to my Mom for Mother's Day. And I filled it with goodies. Now to just finish some other W.I.P.s and I'll be happy :) Guess I should get a move on for Christmas gifts ;)

Ah, it's been almost a year since I updated :( I've kept busy with non-knitting activities, although I did manage to finish this scarf and hat for my niece for Christmas. My only mistake was switching patterns for the hat and forgetting to adjust of the needle change difference (whoops!) So I had to resew it up smaller. Hopefully I finish some other projects soon :)
